Albufeira is home to one of the largest coastlines in Portugal, stretching a whopping 30 kilometers, and containing 25 beaches and bays! While in Albufeira, make sure to check out the following beaches:

• Praia dos Pescadores

Also known as ‘The Fishermen Beach’, Praia dos Pescadores, located in Albufeira’s Old Town, is ideal for families! The Fishermen is not only known for its gorgeous stretch of golden sand, but also for the great variety of local restaurants and cafes available along its promenade.



• Praia da Oura

If you’re a fan of water sports, make sure to visit Praia da Oura! Here you can take part in jet skiing, parasailing, and a number of other water-based activities. If you’d prefer to watch from the sidelines, what better way than to stretch out and relax on this stunning blue flag beach!

Zoomarine Algarve

For a fun and educational day out, Zoomarine Algarve is the place to go! Located just outside Albufeira, this marine features a rehabilitation centre for marine species with an aim of eventually releasing them back into the wild once they have recovered.

At the Zoomarine Algarve there are marine exhibitions on throughout the day, and private sessions which you can book to scuba dive with the dolphins! There are lockers and free parking onsite, along with sun lounger rentals, restaurants, food kiosks, a beach, ferris wheel, wave pool, slides, and a souvenir shop.
