Pompeii
Without question, the biggest draw for people to Naples is the city of Pompeii. This ancient Roman city, along with the neighbouring Herculaneum, Oplontis and Stabiae, was forever frozen in time on 24 August AD 79 when it was buried in volcanic ash spewing from an erupting Mount Vesuvius.
