Costa Del Sol Resorts

Attractions

The gorgeous weather of Costa del Sol has resulted in the opening of over 70 world-class golf courses in the area, and the rise of the nickname ‘Costa del Golf’. Golfers are no doubt drawn to the area by its stunning natural landscapes, which can also be seen in Parque de la Paloma, Benalmádena. This vibrant park offers a relaxing spot away from the beach, and is home to various playgrounds, animals, cafes, and an impressive cactus garden, suitable for all ages.

Perhaps the most impressive natural attraction in Costa del Sol is El Tajo de Ronda. This 120 metre canyon, made by the Guadalevin River, once divided the city of Ronda until construction started on the Puente Nuevo bridge in 1759. This iconic bridge, that could look at home in any fantasy film, leads to Ronda’s equally picturesque Old Town. The town’s narrow cobblestoned streets and colourful buildings is reminiscent of Casco Antiguo in Marbella, which remains true to its original 16th century layout, complete with a town square full of orange trees, Plaza de los Naranjos, and is an excellent example of the rich history and culture of Costa del Sol.
