Running the length of the southern coast of Gran Canaria is one of the most famous beaches in the Canary Islands, Playa de Maspalomas. This gorgeous beach is set apart from the others by its seemingly endless stretch into the horizon, the palm-tree lined promenade that runs the entire length of the sand, and the stunning Dunes of Maspalomas looming in the background. There are two public bus companies in Gran Canaria, Global and Guaguas Municipales. Global, in their iconic blue buses, will take you anywhere on the island, while Guaguas Municipales, in yellow, caters strictly to the island’s capital, Las Palmas.
