It is the least windy beach due its location.
The Playa Blanca beach is a white beach that has a European blue flag for cleanliness and found at the heart of the resort. There are a number of cafes, bars, shops, restaurants and other amenities that you can make use of while sunbathing at the beach. The Dorada and Flamingo beaches are famous for their white sand and nearness to the central hotels in the area. The beaches are sheltered, so they are best for sunbathing and swimming. Papagayo beach is the most popular as it has white sand coves and crystalline waters lapping against the rocks. The area is protected and is now a national park, which can be accessed from the eastern side of the resort by road or a water taxi.
You can go shopping for clothes or even souvenirs along the central part of the beach promenade, or at the Marina Rubicon for a more stylish shopping experience. You should also visit the recreation area that is constructed using high-quality facilities and a new shopping center.
