Beaches

Make the most of Majorca's magnificent Mediterranean weather by visiting one of Alcúdia’s premier beaches! The Alcúdia Bay covers over 10km of pristine white sand, and is naturally divided into Platja d’Alcudia and Platja de Muro. Both beaches offer sunbeds and parasols to rent, and are in close proximity to a number of facilities including shops, cafés and restaurants.

Attractions

  • Pollentia Roman Ruins
  • One of the most interesting features of Majorca is its collection of well-preserved Moorish and Roman archaeological sites. The most famous of these sites is located in Pollentia, and contains ruins of a Roman town from 70 BC! Only minutes away from the Alcudia coast, and with tours available in English, this attraction is not to be missed by anyone looking to immerse themselves in Majorcan culture.

  • Hidropark
  • Open May to October every year, Hidropark Alcudia has a wonderful selection of attractions for all ages to enjoy! This includes slide racing, a wave pool, soft track, kamikaze slide, ‘Children’s World’, floating water balls, trampolines, and even mini golf! The park is easily accessible, with tickets available to buy online.

  • Church of St. Jaume
  • Built between 1675 and 1697, the Church of Saint Jaume is a Roman Catholic establishment made to honour King Jaume II of Majorca (1243-1311), the founder of Alcúdia. The church’s distinctive Romanesque architecture and gorgeous main altar are a wonderful reminder of the richness in Alcúdia’s past.
